Hand crafted Georgia & North Carolina Wines
As the downtown winery, we source our grapes and juice from professionally maintained commercial vineyards from north Georgia and North Carolina. Due to factors such as location, microclimate and soil composition, different vineyards excel at growing different varieties of grapes. North Georgia might have the finest Sangiovese while North Carolina’s Yadkin Valley is known for their Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay.
Year to year changes in weather patterns can also play an important role in our decision of where to buy our grapes. An ill-timed rain can make the difference between excellent quality grapes and a ruined crop. Once we select the best fruit or juice we can find, the wine making, blending and bottling is done on site at our downtown winery.
We currently offer over 20 wines priced from $12 to $20. Including sweet fruit wines such as our popular Peach and Raspberry wines to traditional dry wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Our tasting menu typically includes over a dozen wines so there is always something of interest for even the most discerning wine drinker.
